About Bear’s beach…

My buddy and service dog, Bear (who is a 100lb. Black lab/Shepard) who is now 7 years old and was born in my bedroom closet , goes EVERYWHERE with me, literally. We’ve been doing a lot of traveling the last couple of years, well me and Bear have. He sits with me in business or first class because that’s the only place he fits, the very first row. Never flew first class or business in my life. And because Bear is my service dog, he flies for free, sort of. Now that I’m forced to pay for a more expensive seat makes up for the “free” part. So far he has flown on 14 different flights, usually United (no, I don’t receive any compensation for saying their name). Everyone adores Bear, everyone, literally. He has the best personality and gentleness, you can’t help but to love him. When we got to the beach in Bucerias, Mexico where we ended up staying for 7 months and now want to live there half time. We literally lived right on the beach. The sand was our yard and all the swimming was right at our door. The beach was 24/7 constant waves crashing, kids laughing, everyone having the best time, especially Bear. That beach became his own. He ruled it with a gentle paw, swam all day, played with other dogs, chasing birds he could never catch and he thrived there, as did I. Our time at the beach in that particular house unfortunately came to an end in November 2021 when we were forced to move 1 block away from the beach. I know, poor lady…but it is as different as if we had moved to another country. Bear and I became so sad and misplaced. Why did I have to put a leash on Bear, lock the door, grab a towel and water just to go sit on the beach? We hated it. We were SO spoiled from living with constant sand everywhere and Bear would give me the strangest looks while we walked to the beach, a little sadly. And that is our current situation when we go back next week. We fell in love HARD & thought we were in our happily ever after…..It was the most beautiful time of our lives and I am grateful to have experienced such an amazing life, truly grateful. And Bearsbeach.com was born…..
